Today I went and visited a best buy-like online store in German called Media Markt. The way the Germans measure the TV screens are very odd to me. I believe it may have been in meters because of the metric system. But one of the descriptions says "1.920 x 1.080". Now I am obviously used to the English pound system in which we measure TVs in inches. There is the price of the TV but it looks really strange: the number reads "389.-" I do not understand what the dash is supposed to signify in a price of an item, but it is really interesting. It is also interesting how the Germans only sell the Microsoft Spielkonsole Xbox 360 and exclude the Sony PS3 and the Nintendo Wii. I find that peculiar and bad for business, but that is just me. I understand some of the German, but even technological sites in English I have trouble understanding some of the terminology so I continue to be at quite a loss, but it is fun. All in all it was a wonderful experience paging through a electronic webstore in German.
