I found it quite odd that the Germans are afraid of drafts. The Germans are portrayed as people as fearless and mean but in reality they are afraid of drafts of air. It made me look at Germans very differently then before. The fact that there are diseases that exist in Germany and not in the US is striking to me. With the travel that occurs today it is remarkable that these diseases are not spread more often. The most suprising thing to me was the way they treated the disease. The thing is that most of the time they did nothing and let themselves be sick. The sauna article was pretty funny to me. I had no idea that Germans went to the sauna that much or that anybody would for that matter.
