AMD4: Goodbye Lenin!

For this AMD Assignment, I watched the movie Goodbye Lenin! I had watched the trailer for this movie last semester and this time I watched it all the way.

The story is set in East Germany. It follows the story of a boy named Alex during the German Reunification in 1990. After seeing Alex being arrested in an anti-government demonstration, his mother falls into a coma for 8 months. During this time, Germany goes through many changes. The Berlin Wall falls during this time and everything about Alex's life changes. After 8 months of being in a coma, Alex's mother wakes up into a new world. But, the doctors told alex that his mother cannot handle any major shocks. Alex realizes that the new Germany would be too big of a change for her, so he decides to deceive his mother into believing that nothing has changed. This movie is a very interesting depiction of the changes Germany faced after the wall fell.

Ich denke das film war sehr interessant. Ich mag den Charakter Alex. Er war ein gut Sohn.
