Kultur readings were very entertaining this time around! I especially liked the "How Not to Die on German Roads" article, mein liebings-phrase being "You'll get a ticket or you'll die." When I went to Germany this past Spring, we got stuck behind a tractor on the Autobahn luckily only for about fünf Minuten. I do not plan on ever driving in Germany though, so hopefully I will not need to worry about these rules.
I also experienced the whole line thing also, a few elderly ladies had no qualms about cutting in front of my friends and me, even in a little side store in Münich. Even in Vienna at the Vienna Philharmonic, people just stepped in front of us while we patiently waited our turn.
I also was not aware that Aldi is one of Germany's oldest supermarkets! If anybody is curious, there is one on the corner of Maple Rd. and Ann Arbor Dexter Rd.
The other thing that made me laugh was the garlic comment.
