Bella Martha

For my blog post I decided to watch the remainder of "Bella Martha" this weekend. The movie was nothing out of the ordinary, but it was relaxing and I was able to recognize a lot of words and some sentences. When Martha's neighbor asked "wie gehts ihnen?" I knew he was asking how she was. Also, when the teacher at Lina's school commented "sie braucht eine Hause," I knew he was saying Lina needs a house. These sentences may seem easy, but it was fun to actually notice them. I also enjoyed seeing some German cinematography because they are very famous for a lot of their work. The film was, as I already said, very basic, but still well shot. The culture of Germany was never really explored past the language, but I'm sure this was in an effort to make the movie more marketable. This was my first AMD of the year and I am very happy with the assignment. hopefully the rest continue to be as exciting as all of last semester's were.
